Reina is 23, and taught herself to embroider at 16.
Embroidery is both a business and tradition in San Miguel. Women own anywhere between 10-35 aprons, and visiting the town you’ll see women of all ages wearing the most beautiful colors and patterns.
Since most women embroider (and learn at a very young age) there’s a lot of competition.
Reina is self-taught and make's her own designs to try to differentiate her business
